Barrow Haven

The small port of Barrow Haven is privately owned and managed by Old Ferry Wharf Ltd, and is situated 22 miles west of Spurn point on the south bank of the river Humber. Despite its small size, it can handle vessels up to 120m in length and 3100 dwt with wide spring drafts in excess of 5m. Typical commodities handled for import and export by the port include:

  • Various bulk cargos
  • Bulk & palletised bags
  • Steel sections and coils
  • Bricks, tiles and finished goods

A two and a half acre storage yard gives it ample space for its heavy involvement in the forwarding and distribution of timber products from Latvia and Estonia.

Crane facilities include:

  • Support for up to 7.5 tonnes, provided by 2 mobile crawler units
  • Prior arrangement of heavy lift cranes if needed
