Gunness

Gunness shares the same features as Flixborough, as both operate under the RMS Trent group, a privately owned logistics firm headed by Peter Aarosin. Gunness’s unique location gives it a distinct advantage in reaching the industrial heartlands of the Midlands, Yorkshire and the North West competitively. The port is able to accommodate vessels with a maximum size of 100m and with a sailing draft of up to 5.3m on Spring Tides.

The vast array of equipment on offer at the port include the following:

• All berths at this dock are serviced by mobile crawler cranes capable of lifting up to 20 tonnes
• Loading shovels assist for handling of bulk cargoes
• Dedicated weighbridge and lorry wheel wash for bulk cargoes
• Over 4,100 sq metres of undercover storage and plenty of outside storage
• 8 warehouses ranging in size from 929sq metres to 2,600sq metres
