Howden Dyke

Located just 50 miles from the mouth of the Humber Estuary and directly adjacent to the M62 motorway, the port of Howden is not only one of the most inland-sited ports in the British Isles, it also offers excellent cargo distribution links to the north, west and midland regions of the UK. Offering 36 acres of space for both warehousing and open storage areas means that importers benefit from a JIT (Just-In-Time) basis, allowing delivery to be as efficient as possible.

The port facilities include:

  • 4 general cargo berths, handling commodities such as steels, dry bulk cargos and project cargos
  • Specialised bulk handling including tanker loading and bagging services
  • Designated forest products and steel terminals within the port
