East Anglia ONE
East Anglia One is a wind farm under construction off the coast of East Anglia. The wind farm is due to start operating in 2019 and will be fully operational in 2020. The wind farm will be made up of 102 wind turbines and will generate 714 MW at full capacity. The wind farm will have one offshore substation and electricity will come ashore near Bawdsey Manor with connection to the National Grid at Bramford, North West of Ipswich. The wind farm will cover an area of 205 km2 and maintenance will be carried out from the Port of Lowestoft. The blades will be manufactured at the Siemens Gamesa factory in Hull.
