Flixborough

The port of Flixborough is one of the river wharves on the Trent. It’s main focus is on handling steel and bulk cargos, and can accommodate vessels up to a maximum of 100m with a sailing draft of up to 5.5m on Spring Tides. Overhead gantry cranes are available to lift up to 35 tonnes and a mobile crawler crane for general grab or hook work. Flixborough’s focus on steel is courtesy of a dedicated steel terminal measuring almost 13,400sq m, with a total warehousing space of 20,800sq metres. Given the port’s on-site rail terminal that includes a dedicated rail crew and 2 locomotives, coupled with the nearby motorway network, Flixborough offers exceptional transport links to and from the Midlands, Yorkshire and the North West.

Features of the port include:

  • River/tidal berths with a max depth of 5.5m and weight of 5,500
  • Total of 2 berths
  • 9 forklifts with a max capacity of 28T
  • 3 tugmasters with a max capacity of 30T
