By definition, enterprise zones are areas around the country that support existing and new businesses by offering incentives. At 484 hectares, the Humber enterprise zone is the largest in the country, and is on its way of becoming the largest hub of renewable energy manufacturers and their supply chains, in Europe.

The HEP offers businesses a high quality working environment whereby they can co-locate at a recognized centre of excellence for manufacturing and technology related industries. Situated on a 79 acre site, the park provides accommodation solutions for companies of all development sizes. Ample production, storage units, offices and business space give young businesses the ideal environment to grow, with large stand-alone facilities available for more established organisations. Located to the west of Hull city centre, the park is suitably positioned for the motorway network with easy access to the M62, M18, A1M and M1. Also, the Park is only a 2 minute walk away from Brough Station which had direct trains into London and other cities across the UK.
Some of the organisations that are located on the site are Howdens, Black Cat Group, BAE Systems and the Humberside Fire & Rescue Service.
